About Basohli Utsav
Basohli Utsav 2023 is the starting point in the rediscovery of our fading culture and hidden heritage. The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), in collaboration with the Jammu Division and the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, conceptualized this festival to instill a sense of pride in our culture and heritage.
Basohli painting was granted a Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2023, highlighting the region’s extraordinary artistic tradition.
